So, was the Mike Miller and Randy Foye trade really all about the Minnesota Timberwolves getting Oleksiy Pecherov? Pecherov is the only player remaining from the original trade Minnesota made with Washington two days prior to the NBA draft after the Timberwolves dealt Darius Songaila and Bobby Brown to New Orleans on Wednesday for another former Wizard, Antonio Daniels. Minnesota has already watched the fifth overall pick (Ricky Rubio) ditch the Timberwolves to stay in Spain and dumped Etan Thomas off on Oklahoma City. Now the Timberwolves have decided to deal Songaila and Brown for Daniels' expiring contract. With an expiring contract being the price for a player that the Wizards really valued, it makes you wonder what would've happened if Ernie Grunfeld had been able to replace Songaila with Mike James in that trade with Minnesota.
